Nirrimi is brilliant.
Okay so, I've been kind of in a running nowhere position right now, cause I'm crowded with band, school starting, trying to keep up with friends and trying to figure out why I've been put in a Legal Matters class instead of Journalism, and so I haven't been able to photograph anything this last month of summer. Nirrimi posted a new blog (which can be found at the
[link]) and I was like, "Oh wow, this will help get my juices flowing!" and I'm going to be doing this sort-of challenge!

I'm too lazy to type right now, so I'll just copy and paste the summary she wrote.
"So the task is you have to take a photograph based on your interpretation of the following words. I'll be doing it too, and at the end of the year I'll feature the best work from each word alongside mine in my journal. So if you're feeling uninspired or need motivation, do this! Use your imagination!"
Here are the words:
i. jejune- juvenile; immature; childish: lacking knowledge or experience; innocent.
ii. dulcet- pleasant to the ear; pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
iii. mellifluous- sweetly or smoothly flowing; sweet-sounding: a mellifluous voice; mellifluous tones.
flowing with honey; sweetened with or as if with honey.
iv. languor- lack of energy or vitality; physical weakness or faintness; emotional softness or tenderness.
v. desolate- barren or laid waste; devastated: a treeless, desolate landscape; deserted; solitary; lonely.
vi. lacuna- a blank space; a missing part; a gap.
vii. pelagic- of or pertaining to the open seas or oceans.
viii. petrichor- the smell of earth after rain.
ix. tremulous- shaking; shivering; quivering; as, a tremulous motion of the hand or the lips; affected with fear or timidity; trembling.
x. aestival- of or belonging to the summer.
xi. sempiternal- of never ending duration; having beginning but no end; everlasting; endless.
I'm not too sure I'll be able to make the end of the year with this, so I'm making this a school-year-long project. And if I get done, I'll start a new one, with new words that I'll choose.
